Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service with a focus on professionalism.
- Arrange travel plans, and itineraries, and make reservations.
- Load and unload goods from trucks or vehicles.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Supervise vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Manage payments for goods and handle payment transactions.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicles.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch as required.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Secure cargo by tarping and ensuring its safety and security during transportation.
