Duties and Responsibilities
- Get surfaces ready by preparing, measuring, and marking them for tiling.
- Use hand trowel to mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives.
- Affix tiles to the base by setting them in place and applying pressure.
- Ensure tiles are aligned and straightened properly.
- Prepare tenders and quotations.
- Use hand and power cutting tools to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings.
- Fill grout into tile joints and remove excess grout.
- Replace cracked or damaged tiles as needed.
- Construct underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
- Provide cost and material estimates.
