Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and guide the pouring of concrete into forms or onto surfaces based on the specified grade.
• Smooth out hollows and eliminate blemishes on newly poured cement.
• Create bids and quotes for projects.
• Utilize power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level the upper surface of concrete in accordance with grade and depth requirements.
• Perform tasks at elevated heights, on scaffolding, or using swing stages.
• Achieve the desired finish on concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
• Provide guidance to apprentices.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
• Apply substances for hardening and sealing to facilitate surface curing.
• Waterproof, damp-proof, and restore surfaces.
• Fix, resurface, or replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Estimate material and cost requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
